History

1985: The Company was established on August 29, 1985 under the name: Saigon–Vientianne import export company (SAVIMEX)

1987-1990: Expanded the market to the Soviet Union, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, etc with main export products of floorboards, round wood, sawn timber, etc and mainly imported chemicals, machinery and equipment.

1992: Cooperated with Japan New Furniture (JNF) to receive the refined wood production line for export to Japan.

1993: Established Saviwoodtech factory in cooperation with Marunaka. Established a center for building and interior development.

1995: Established SAVIDECOR specialized in the fields of design, interior decoration and high quality interior woodwork for the domestic market.

2002: Savimex owned the first wood processing factory in Vietnam to be issued with a certificate of the environmental management system according to ISO 14001. Listed shares on the trading floor with SAV code.

2007: Established a carton pack production enterprise (SaviPack) with production lines and equipment imported from Taiwan.

2008: Established Champa-Savi wood processing joint venture company in Champasak, Laos.

2014: Be invested by ELAND group (Korea) with the goal of becoming the leading company in the wood industry in future.
